(Salem, OR)  --  The State House Of Representatives are set to consider a ban on health care discrimination.  The bill was passed by the Senate on Thursday with a vote of 25 to 4.  S-B 250 prohibits health benefit plans from discriminating on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and other factors.  The bill also requires most health benefit plans to cover chemical dependency coverage.
