Flags Lowered In Honor Of Fallen Washington State Deputy

(Salem, OR)  --  Flags are flying at half-staff today at all Oregon public institutions to honor a fallen southwestern Washington deputy.  Governor Kate Brown made the announcement yesterday, calling the death of Cowlitz County Deputy Justin DeRosier "a senseless loss."  DeRosier died earlier this month after being shot while responding to a call.  His memorial service is scheduled for this afternoon at the University of Portland's Chiles Center.
