Backcountry Fires Banned At Crater Lake National Park

(Crater Lake, OR)  --  Backcountry fires are being banned at Crater Lake National Park.  Park management made the decision in an effort to reduce the risk of escaped campfires in the backcountry.  The ban includes wood and charcoal fires, unless in areas within established grills or fire rings, or portable self-containing grills are found.
