Seattle Children's Nurse Diagnosed With Measles

(Seattle, WA)  --  Health officials say a nurse in Western Washington has been diagnosed with measles.  Public Health - Seattle and King County says the Seattle Children's Hospital nurse contracted the highly contagious disease late last month while caring for an infected patient.  Health officials say the nurse was potentially contagious while working at the hospital from July 8th through July 11th.  She's the tenth person to contract measles in King County since May.  Hospital staff say she was fully vaccinated.
