Vancouver Fire Department Gets Federal Grant To Fund Improvements

(Vancouver, WA)  --  The Vancouver Fire Department is getting a federal grant to help pay for vitally important improvements.  Vancouver Fire Chief Joe Molina says the Federal Emergency Management Agency has awarded the department a grant of more than 930-thousand dollars.  Molina says some of the money will go toward replacing roughly 100 breathing units that don't meet federal standards.  The rest of the money will pay for specialized training on how to respond to hazardous materials.
