Deputy Gets Fishing Lure Stuck In Face

(Portland, OR)  --  A Clackamas County Sheriff's deputy is recovering after getting a fishing lure stuck in his face.  The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says Deputy Ferguson and a second deputy were undergoing rescue technique training on the upper Clackamas River when Ferguson suddenly felt something pierce his cheek.  Ferguson says he initially thought it was a bee sting, but his partner quickly informed him that he had a fishing lure stuck in his face.  The two deputies rafted to shore, and Ferguson headed to the emergency room to have the lure removed.  Ferguson says he plans to use the lure on his next fishing trip, pointing out that it, quote, "obviously catches things."
