Vancouver Residents Call For Police Body Cameras, De-Escalation Training

(Vancouver, WA)  --  Residents in Vancouver, Washington are calling on law enforcement officials to issue body cameras to police officers following multiple officer-involved shootings in the city.  About a dozen people spoke out on the issue yesterday at a police forum on how to better train officers.  Speakers also called for de-escalation technique training and bias training for officers.  Four people have been shot by police officers in Vancouver so far this year.  Three of those shootings were deadly.
