(Portland, OR) -- A memorial service is slated for tomorrow for Portland auto magnate Ron Tonkin, who died Friday at age 82. Tonkin started his career at his father's used-car lot and built one of Oregon's largest auto-dealership chains, which included one of the first Toyota franchises in North America. He and his sons starred in many commercials for his dealerships. The memorial service will begin at two p.m. tomorrow at the Congregation Beth Israel on Northwest 19th Avenue and Flanders Street.
