Man Charged In Emergency Landing At PDX

(Portland, OR)  --  A man is facing federal charges after being accused of displaying bizarre behavior that prompted the emergency landing of a jet at Portland International Airport.  Authorities say Lemar Sheron Rogers boarded the Sacramento-bound Southwest Airlines flight in Seattle Tuesday morning and immediately became combative, telling attendants he had a first-class ticket on a jet that had no first-class seating.  Officials say Rogers demanded a drink before takeoff, refused to stow his carry-on luggage in an overhead compartment, and made repeated references to Jesus as he continued to act with belligerence.  After the plane landed at PDX, Rogers was arrested and charged with interfering with flight crew members.
