(Sheridan, OR)  --  A man is dead and a woman is in a Portland hospital, following a single-vehicle crash near Sheridan.  Oregon State Police say the woman was driving east on Highway 18 around 1:45 p.m. yesterday when she lost control at a curve.  The vehicle traveled off the roadway and became airborne, then crashed into a power pole and landed off Highway 34.  The male passenger died at the scene and the woman was seriously injured.
