(St. Helens, OR)  --  A Scappoose man is facing a charge of attempted murder in the stabbing of a woman in St. Helens.  Police say 43-year-old Thomas Googins was found early Saturday morning, covered in blood, and was arrested.  The victim was found in the five-hundred block of North 10th Street around two a.m. Saturday and was taken to a Portland hospital.  Bail for Googins is set at 150-thousand dollars.
