(Portland, OR) -- Trial is likely for a man accused of wounding a Portland police officer and killing his K-9 partner. Twenty-year-old Paul Alan Ropp has pleaded not guilty to 17 criminal counts, including attempted murder and armed robbery. The shooting happened as police pursued three suspects following a break-in at a police supply store last Wednesday. Officer Jeff Dorn was shot in the legs and the K-9, named Mick, was killed. The two other suspects have also pleaded not guilty.
