Mariners' Concessions Proceeds To Go To Humane Society

(Seattle, WA)  --  The Seattle Mariners plan to donate a portion of the proceeds from all concessions sales at Safeco Field during September to the Seattle-King County chapter of the Humane Society.  Team officials say the donation is in response to an incident involving Centerplate Catering CEO Desmond Hague, who was recorded on an elevator surveillance video, kicking and yanking the leash of a Doberman Pinscher puppy.  Centerplate handles concessions at Safeco Field, Providence Park in Portland, and hundreds of other venues.  Earlier this week, Centerplate announced that Hague is on indefinite probation and will lose his job unless he donates 100-thousand dollars to create a foundation for the protection of animals.
