(New York, NY)  --  The thrilling contest between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots is the new ratings champion for Super Bowl games.  NBC Sports says Super Bowl 49 attracted 49-point-two percent of households with a television, good for a 72 share.  The previous record was held by Super Bowl 47, which garnered 48-point-one percent and a 71 share.  That game, between the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens, included a power outage that lasted more than a half-hour at the Superdome in New Orleans.
