The top-ranked Mt. View Cougars Boy's Basketball team is one step closer to playing for the Class 5-A title after yesterday's 58-50 quarterfinal win over Pendleton at the State Tournament.
The Cougars advance to the Final-4 where they will face Silverton Thursday afternoon at 1:00.

The 5-A title game is set for Friday night.

Meantime, the Summit Storm took a left turn in the bracket losing its opening game, 45-41, to Marist of Eugene.
