(Washington, DC) -- Jacob deGrom tossed six strong innings as the Mets knocked off the Nationals, 7-2, in Washington. deGrom allowed two runs on three hits while striking out eight and walking none to improve to 10-and-6. Eric Campbell smacked a pinch-hit, go-ahead two-run single in the seventh for the Mets, who are two games behind the Nats in the NL East. Wilson Ramos launched a two-run homer for Washington. Joe Ross took the loss.
