(Portland, OR)  --  The Portland Timbers suffered a 1-0 loss to Sporting Kansas City Saturday night at Providence Park.  The Timbers are currently in seventh place in the West with just three matches to play.  The top-six teams make the MLS playoffs.  Portland will face Real Salt Lake in its next match a week from Wednesday.
