(Renton, WA)  --  Former USC and current Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll says he's saddened by the situation that's developed for Steve Sarkisian, a former Carroll assistant who was fired as USC's coach.  The school announced the firing yesterday, a day after Sarkisian was placed on indefinite leave of absence.  Carroll says while he's heartbroken by the situation, he sees this as an opportunity for Sarkisian to "get right and get well."  ESPN quoted a source as saying Sarkisian was intoxicated during team meetings Sunday, prior to the leave of absence being announced.
