(Renton, WA) -- Wide receiver Chris Matthews is no longer with the Seattle Seahawks after being waived by the team. Matthews snagged four passes, one for a touchdown, in Super Bowl 49, but caught only four passes for 54 yards over 12 regular-season games. His roster spot has been filled by wide receiver Kevin Smith, who was signed off the practice squad. Smith was a standout receiver for the Washington Huskies before entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent.
