(Portland, OR) -- The MLS Champion Portland Timbers will be playing on a new field next season. The current surface will be replaced by a new Revolution 360 surface. Providence Park VP of operations Ken Puckett told KGW-TV the Timbers want the best for their players, and the surface, after two seasons of pro-level play, is ready to be replaced. Portland will begin defending its title on March 6th, when it hosts the Columbus Crew.
