Oregon Crushes Wazzu

The Oregon Ducks magic number to clinch the PAC-12 men’s basketball crown is now 2 after the 13th ranked Ducks ran past Ernie Kent’s Washington State Cougars, 76-62.

With three games remaining in the regular season, oregon is within reach of its first league title in 14 years.

The win last night at Matt Knight arena is a school record 24 straight home victories and puts Oregon in sole possession of first place in the pac-12 with an 11-and-4 league mark and 22-6 overall record.

Elgin Cook scored 16 of his 24 points in the second and Chris Boucher added 18 points and hauled in 13 rebounds leading to the win.

Washington State suffers its 14th straight loss, the longest ever in Ernie Kent’s coaching career.

Oregon will host the Huskies Sunday here on KBND beginning at 5pm.

The top-4 league finishers get a first round bye at the PAC-12 tournament in Las Vegas coming up March 10th
