On the prep basketball hardwood…the state ‘play-in’ round begins Wednesday with the 6th Summit Storm, the second seed from the IMC hosting Putnam.

Meantime, Bend defeated Redmond Friday night on the Panthers home floor to secure the third and final state playoff spot. The lava bears will travel Wednesday to Parkrose.

The IMC champion Mt. View Cougars will host a 1st round playoff game Saturday night.

On the girls 5A side of the postseason…the Bend Lava Bears will host a first round playoff Friday night.

Summit’s girls team will entertain Putnam tomorrow night in the play-in round... And, Ridgeview lady Ravens will travel to Milwaukie.

Madras girls will host a first round game Friday in the 4A division.

Crook County captured its 4th straight state wrestling championship Saturday in Portland winning the 4A crown, and Culver won its 9th state class 2A title in the last 10 years.
