Mariners Get New Ownership Group And CEO

(Seattle, WA)  --  A change is taking place in the Seattle Mariners' ownership.  Nintendo of America is selling most of its interest in the franchise to a group of 17 local minority owners, led by John Stanton.  Stanton will replace the retiring Howard Lincoln as the Mariners' chairman and chief operating officer.  The group will own 90 percent of the club, and Nintendo of America will own ten percent, pending approval by Major League Baseball.
