(Detroit, MI) -- Relief pitcher Tom Wilhelmsen is back with the Seattle Mariners. Wilhelmsen, who was traded to Texas earlier this year in a multi-player deal, elected to become a free agent after being designated for assignment last week by the Rangers. The Mariners, who need help with their bullpen, have signed Wilhelmsen to a one-year deal. He compiled 67 saves over his previous five seasons in Seattle.
