Tuesday night non-league college baseball saw Oregon State rally and beat the University of Portland, 4-3 in the wet rose city. Beaver pitchers struck out a record combined 18 Pilot hitters.

The Beavers remain the top-ranked team in the nation and are now
25-and-1, having won 20-straight. OSU ends the 5-game road trip back home in Corvallis Friday when they host Utah in a 3-game series.

On the Big League diamond…the Mariners lose in Houston, 2-to-1.
A pair of Astro home runs the difference in the win. The Giants double up the Diamondbacks, 8-4 in Arizona. And, the A’s nipped by the Angels in Oakland, 7-6.

  • Intersection of NW Broadway Street and NW Delaware for waterline replacement project, road closures with detours clearly marked for thru traffic, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily with roads opened nightly. Motorists are encouraged to avoid this area and use Bond Street and Wall Street.

 

  • Nels Anderson Road between Nels Anderson Place and Brandis Court, single northbound shoulder closure will be in effect, two-way traffic to be maintained. Project completion expected December 2017.
