Oregon State maintained its stranglehold on the No. 1 spot in the ‘D-1 Baseball’ Top-25 rankings for the fifth consecutive week.

The Beavers went on the road last week and took two of three from Pac-12 contender, and foe, Washington to improve to 30-2 overall, and 14-1 in the conference five games ahead of Arizona and UCLA.

Louisville is ranked second, followed by Clemson, North Carolina, and Texas Tech. Arizona is ranked 7th…Cal State Fullerton 8th. Other Westcoast teams in the Top-25 is Long Beach State rated 17th, and San Diego 25th.

Next up for the Beavers, they will travel to face UCLA on Friday while the 23-and-10 Oregon Ducks play at Portland tomorrow night before hosting Stanford Friday.

On the Softball side….Arizona is ranked third nationally behind Florida and Auburn. UCLA is rated 6th and the Lady Ducks of Oregon drop to 7th with a 37-and-4 record. The Ducks travel to challenge #3 Arizona on Friday.

  • Intersection of NW Broadway Street and NW Delaware for waterline replacement project, road closures with detours clearly marked for thru traffic, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily with roads opened nightly. Motorists are encouraged to avoid this area and use Bond Street and Wall Street.

 

  • Nels Anderson Road between Nels Anderson Place and Brandis Court, single northbound shoulder closure will be in effect, two-way traffic to be maintained. Project completion expected December 2017.
