Former Blazer Roy Shot In Leg

(Undated)  --  Former Portland Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy is recovering after being shot in the leg in Southern California over the weekend.  Multiple outlets report Roy was shot while trying to shield some of the children who were at a gathering outside of his grandmother's house.  Reports say Roy was a bystander when gunshots erupted in what may be a gang-related shooting.  Roy spent five of his six injury-plagued NBA seasons with Portland.  He averaged 18.8 points, 4.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds over 326 career games.  The three-time All-Star was drafted by the Blazers sixth overall in 2006 out of Washington.
