Former Ridgeview All-League infielder Colin Runge (rungg-gee) laced the game-winning run-scoring triple in the 6th inning last night to break a 1-1 tie, and lead the Bend Elks past Walla Walla for a second-straight night, 5-2.

Runge, now playing college ball at Chemeketa CC in Salem followed Derek Chapman’s leadoff triple to begin the 6th inning with a 3-bagger of his own, and the Elks added 2 more runs in the 7th to start the season 2-and-oh with the win..

Former Summit cather and current Cougar, Cal Waterman, in the 6th inning grounded home Runge for the Elks only RBI’s of the game along with Runge’s.
