(Undated)  --  In area college basketball, Oregon returns to the court Friday, hosting Utah in a Pac-12 opener.  The Ducks, who made it to the Final Four last season, are 10-and-3, winning their last five.  Oregon State also begins Pac-12 play Friday, hosting Colorado.  The Beavers take an 8-and-4 record into league play.  Oregon State lost 17 of 18 conference games last season.  Portland State is off until Saturday when it plays at Sacramento State in a Big Sky opener.  The Vikings are 10-3 after winning last week at Cal.  Portland University will play Brigham Young on Thursday in Provo, Utah.  The Pilots are 6-and-7.
