(Seattle, WA)  --  Mariners outfielder Ichiro Suzuki will not play again this season and will instead begin transitioning to a front office role with the club.  The team announced on Thursday that he will serve as a special assistant to the chairman.  Suzuki does not plan to retire, but will not join Seattle's active roster for the rest of the season.
