High School Baseball

It’s the stretch run and final week of prep baseball and #15 Summit plays at Ridgeview today. The Storm have lost 3 of its last 5 and will finish hosting Redmond tomorrow and Bend on Friday. Elsewhere today, Redmond hosts Mt. View.

8th ranked Bend who has won 8-straight is idle today, then hosts Ridgeview tomorrow, and closes out regular season play at both Summit and
Mt. View.

On the 4-A scoreboard yesterday, Sisters pounded Elmira, 14-3. Today the Outlaws invade Sweet Home up over the hill to try and win the season series with the Huskies and nail down a home Play-in game with a win.

Meantime, #15 Madras hosts winless Corbett and Crook County visits league-leading Gladstone. 1-game separate the Buffs and Cowboys for 2nd and 3rd place,respectively. Madras meets Crook County in Prineville in what could decide who travels in the Play-in round next week.

From the 3-A division, 2nd ranked La Pine thrashed Creswell, 13-3 yesterday, and closes out Mountain Valley play at Harrisburg tomorrow where a win there clinches the League Title outright.

In Softball…#7 Ridgeview already won the IMC Title and Bend, Redmond and Mt. View all tied at 6-and-7 in League play are battling for the remaining 2 playoff spots. In the 4-A, Crook County is in the Playoffs, and Madras visits Corbett today needing a win to nail down 3rd place and the final play-in opening. And the La Pine girls still have a shot at the playoffs.
