NCAA Approves Change To Targeting Replay

(Undated)  --  The NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel approved two new changes to the targeting rule and the repercussions to the violations have grown intense.  The panel decided they were eliminating the ability for targeting fouls to "stand" as called and created a progressive penalty for players who commit three targeting fouls in the same season.  If a player commits three targeting fouls in the same season, he will be suspended for the entirety of the next game.  The changes come after several controversial targeting calls and non-calls garnered national attention last season.
