(Montreal, Quebec)  --  The Timbers fell short of victory against the Montreal Impact in a 2-1 loss in Canada.  Tomas Conechny scored the only goal for Portland in the loss.  The Timbers are 11th in the MLS West with 17 points, four out of a playoff spot.  Portland hosts FC Dallas on Sunday.
