Seager Homers Three Times as Mariners Beat Tigers

(Detroit, MI)  --  Kyle Seager hit three home runs as the Mariners beat the Tigers 11-6 in Detroit.  The third homer appeared to be caught by Detroit centerfielder Niko Goodrum on the warning track, but he collided with left fielder Brandon Dixon, and the ball popped out of his glove and went over the fence.  He became the first Mariner since Jose Lopez to go yard three times, who did it September 22nd, 2010.  Catcher Tom Murphy hit back-to-back homers with the third baseman twice.  Zac Grotz got the win in relief, the first of his career.  The win snaps a three-game losing streak, but is just the team's second in their past ten games.
