It's only the third time in franchise history that the Mariners have begun a season with a 3-and-0 record. James Paxton pitched seven shutout innings for Seattle, striking out nine. Mike Zunino, Justin Smoak, and Corey Hart homered for the Mariners, who will open a four-game series at Oakland tonight.
