(Renton, WA) -- Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll says he and his staff are being patient with star running back Marshawn Lynch, who missed the first week of training camp. Carroll says Beast Mode is lagging behind his teammates when it comes to the conditioning necessary to be competitive on a football field. Lynch saw little activity during minicamp and skipped off-season Organized Team Activities, and Carroll says all that plus the training camp holdout have put Lynch in a position of having to catch up. The defending Super Bowl champs are preparing for their first preseason game, which takes place Thursday in Denver.
