From 8:00AM to 3:00PM

The Prineville Airport and Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 617 are sponsoring “Wings and Wheels”, an airport open house and fly-in at the airport on August 10, 2013 from 8 am to 3 pm. The public is invited to attend. Admission is free. The objective of the fly-in is to be a fun gathering for pilots and the public, and to generate interest in and exposure to aviation. Activities include a pancake breakfast from 8am to 10am, aircraft displays, classic cars, a flight simulator, discovery flights, and raffles. Join your friends for a festive and elegant evening of fine dining and wine-sipping. The evening includes Silent and Live auctions to directly support the Festival Orchestra and the Young Artists Scholarship Program, whose winners will amaze and entertain you during dinner!

Would you like to see the Wild West come alive? Come on up for Shaniko Days, the 27th Annual Celebration sponsored by the City of Shaniko starts August 2 and wraps up August 4th, 2012. The Big event day is August 3rd, with a Parade, BBQ lunch for $8.50, music, raffles, entertainment, gunfighters, evening dance. Friday night, H.C. Wells, author of the "Time To Tell" series, will sponsor Family Movie Night at dusk, providing snacks and a family friendly video for the children. Vendors are welcome.
