This is the first year Oregon has administered this survey, that has been given in 16 other states. Our participation rate was just under 60 percent, which is quite high.

Three out of four teachers believe their class sizes do not allow them to effectively teach.  

Of the 17 states conducting the survey, Oregon teachers expressed the most concern over class size.
