Motorcyclist To Face Charges Following Crash

BEND, OR -- A motorcyclist was hurt in a Wednesday night crash on the Bend Parkway, and he'll likely face criminal charges for his alleged actions prior to the wreck. According to Bend Police, 31-year-old Joseph Pandolfi, Jr. crashed into the back of an SUV on the Empire Ave. offramp, just after 8 p.m. Officers provided initial medical care until medics arrived and took him to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators learned an Oregon State Trooper had seen Pandolfi speeding north on Highway 97 just before the crash. The Trooper tried to pull him over but the bike sped off. OSP was searching for the motorcycle when the crash occurred.

Bend Police are still investigating the incident. Pandolfi is expected to be charged with Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangering, Elude, Driving While Suspended and Driving Uninsured.
