METOLIOUS, OR -- A Metolious man has been jailed on 24 charges including sodomy, sex abuse and coercion, after an investigation by the Deschutes County Sheriff. Police received a report last week of alleged sex abuse by 72-year old Louis T. Apo. He lived in La Pine for five years before moving to Metolious last year. Police say they have identified three victims in La Pine. Investigators say Apo had contact with numerous children in La Pine and befriended families and often babysat for neighbors. Apo has also lived in Denver, San Francisco and Eureka. Police ask anyone who has children who had contact with Apo to call Detective John Barker at the Deschutes County Sheriff’s office.
