LA PINE, OR -- A La Pine man is jailed on mail theft charges after police were notified of a suspicious person near mailboxes early Friday morning. Police went to an area near Elderberry Lane and Forest Drive and found 20 year old David Stephen Nessly. Police say Nessly had mail in his possession and was arrested on 20 counts of Mail Theft. Police are asking any other La Pine mail theft victims to contact the sheriff’s office.
