Spiking Virus Cases Could Keep Kids Out Of Classrooms

On Friday, Oregon reported the highest number of new daily covid-19 cases since the pandemic began. State health officer Dr. Dean Sidelinger says, if cases continue to rise, students won't be able to return to the classroom in November. Sidelinger says it's especially important for kindergarten through third graders to return to in-person instruction. He says social distancing, masks and other hygiene procedures would give schools the best chance of keeping cases low and allowing kids back in the classroom.
