Two transients are facing charges in the theft of a log splitter which led police to other thefts from a construction site. Bend Police say video surveillance showed 31 yr old Michael Delucia and 30 yr old Brent Hermanns took the log splitter from a Bend Lowe’s store early yesterday morning. During that investigation police determined Hermanns was tied to an earlier theft of a recovered cargo trailer and 15-thousand dollars’ worth of tools taken from a construction site in the 600 block of NW York. Both men were arrested on numerous charges and police say further arrests could follow.
