A Bend man catches a possible world-record mountain whitefish on the Deschutes River. According to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife Alex Dietz hooked a 5 pound 12 oz whitefish. Last week, officials certified it as the new state record. Dietz’s fish might also be a world record and he is submitting certification to the International Game Fish Association.
