(Portland, OR) -- A man who was convicted of the murder of a high-school classmate in 1990 will be released from prison in October. Conrad Engweiler was 15 years old when he was found guilty of murdering 16-year-old Erin Reynolds, his classmate at Beaverton's Sunset High. Engweiler was sentenced to a minimum of 30 years in prison, before the state of Oregon set specific sentencing guidelines for underage criminals. The Oregon Parole and Post-Prison Supervision Board granted parole to Engweiler yesterday, saying he's now a low risk of committing violent acts in the future.
