(Olympia, WA) -- The Washington State Supreme Court is withholding sanctions against the state after unanimously finding legislators in contempt. The high court rendered the decision yesterday against lawmakers for failing to establish a plan to fully fund public education. The justices also decided to place sanctions on hold until after the 2015 legislative session to give lawmakers time to develop a plan. The Legislature remains divided on how to come up with at least three-billion dollars in additional funding for K-12 education by 2018.
