(Portland, OR) -- A new report issued by the Portland Police Bureau shows the number of gang-related incidents in the city is on the rise. Sergeant Pete Simpson says the Gang Enforcement Team responded to 121 incidents of gang violence as of September 1st, setting a new record. Officials say most of those incidents involved gunfire. Police say if more people cooperate with investigations instead of withholding information, it will go a long way toward curbing gang violence in Portland.
