Mohamud Appeals Conviction

(Portland, OR)  --  Mohamed Mohamud, who's serving 30 years in federal prison for trying to set off a bomb during a tree-lighting ceremony in downtown Portland, is appealing his conviction.  The brief, filed in federal court by Mohamud's defense team, is seeking to reverse the conviction.  He was arrested after trying to set off a bomb that turned out to be fake.  The bogus bomb was supplied by FBI undercover agents posing as al-Qaeda recruiters.
