(Portland, OR) -- Officials say remains that were found in Marion County last December were those of a fugitive who was wanted on kidnapping and other charges. DNA testing revealed the remains were those of Paul Winklebeck, who was also wanted for child sex abuse and failing to register as a sex offender. Winklebeck was accused in 2010 of posing as a police officer and abducting two women who were leaving the Roseland Theatre in downtown Portland. The University of Texas conducted the DNA testing to confirm the remains belonged to Winklebeck.
