(Olympia, WA)  --  Governor Jay Inslee is calling on Washingtonians to celebrate the state's shellfish industry.  Saturday was the official start of Washington Shellfish Week, and Inslee says shellfish are crucial to Washington's economy, culture, and environment.  The governor is also encouraging efforts to improve water quality throughout Washington, stressing its importance to family shellfish farms.  Washington Shellfish Week runs through June 11th.
